IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT COVID VACCINE EXEMPTIONS

Leanne Terry · September 28, 2021 ·

WRNPLC follows federal, provincial, and  Waterloo Region’s Public Health Guidelines regarding COVID 19 . These guidelines identify that there are only two reasons an mRNA COVID vaccine can be delayed or deferred:

  1. A severe allergic reaction (eg. anaphylaxis) to a previous dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine or a component of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine.  If you have experienced a reaction, you will be referred to an allergist to confirm and to help identify alternative ways you may receive the vaccine.
  2. Myocarditis or Pericarditis diagnosed after the first dose of an mRNA vaccine can result in a temporary delay of your second dose
